We all know that the first love of the Lebanese designer, Elie Saab, remains the Haute Couture. So, this year, he returns for the second time with an exquisite Bridal Collection for Fall-Winter 2017.
As usual, Elie Saab has revealed a stunning collection of wedding dresses for fall season. With lace in abundance, delicate sequin detailing and cascades of tulle, these dresses will make you want to get married for the second time … or the third time, who knows?
Elie Saab is a well known a Lebanese fashion designer. His main workshop is in Lebanon, with additional workshops in Milan and Paris.
In 1981 Saab moved to Paris to study fashion in the capital of fashion, but later on in 1982, he returned to Beirut to open his fashion label. At this time he was only 18 years old, but he managed to geather a team of 15 employees to help him put on track his dream.
At first, his atelier was specialized in bridal couture making wedding dresses and gowns using rich fabrics, lace, detailed embroidery, pearls, crystals and silk threads.
Elie Saab’s style has a fusion of western and eastern culture. He uses noble materials such as taffeta, organza, noble and satin paired with more fluid and light fabrics.
In 1997 Saab was the first non-Italian designer to become a member of the Italian Camera Nazionale della Moda, and in 1997, showed his first collection outside Lebanon in Rome. In 1998, he started ready-to-wear in Milan, and in the same year, he held a fashion show in Monaco, which was attended by Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.
