Paris Fashion Week is a deluge of opulence and luxury, where the designers present their most sumptuous creations. It’s that moment of the year to lust for, when you become part of a masterpiece, a runway show where every single item has been hand-crafted by each designer to reinstate the artisanal look-alike concept. For this Paris Fashion Week AW16-17, I’ve had the pleasure to be seated in a frontrow seat at the Oriental Fashion Show, held at the Four Seasons – George V – Hotel. Having four major designers on the runway, the show has been a statement of elegance, traditions, modernity and oriental opulence:
Saher Dia originally from Liban, living in Abou Dabi.
With his classical and elegant style, he managed to detached himself from the other players in the field, but it was his love of material that made him so great in what he’s presenting to the world in 2003, when he hosted his first haute couture collection in Abou Dabi. With this Automne – Winter 16-17 collection, he is paying respect to Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco.

3. Rym Wided Menaifi, for Menouba Couture from Algeria
After studying for 7 years the medicine and practicing for 4 years ad a Generalist Doctor, Rym decided to go back to her youth passion: LA MODE. Her “Menouba Couture” is a hommage of her grand-mother. She’s opening her first Boutique in 2008 in Alger, becoming an icon of the Algerian fashion. For this collection, Rym is paying respect to her hometown, Constantine. Her collection holds a wide range of colorful velvet dresses stamped with sublime gold filigrane, precious stones and perles, a true work of art.
